Standard Specification for Welded and Seamless Steel Pipe Piles
This specification covers nominal (average) wall steel pipe piles of cylindrical shape and applies to pipe piles in which the steel cylinder acts as a permanent load-carrying member, or as a shell to form cast-in-place concrete piles.
Reliant Pipes ASTM/ASME A252/SA252 steel piling pipe is a structural pipe ideally suited for application in buildings, retaining walls, and other structures needing solid, dependably, quality made steel piling pipe as its structure.
ASTM Specification A252 describes nominal (average) wall steel pipe piles of cylindrical shape and applies to pipe piles in which the steel cylinder acts as a permanent load-carrying member or as a shell to form case-in-place concrete piles.
Surface imperfections exceeding 25% of the nominal wall in depth are considered defects. Defects not exceeding 22.5% of the nominal wall in depth may be repaired by welding. Before welding, the defect shall be completely removed.

We custom fabricate and sell pipe to customers serving construction segments such as building construction, road construction, bridge construction, utility construction, marine construction, and oilfield construction just to name a few. Our Welded Steel Pipefinished products are installed by those performing horizontal road boring, directional drilling, and pile driving procedures for these industries. We have two specialty niches. The first includes fabricating 20' dead length stock sections for use as Steel Casings, such as Road Bore casing, Culvert casing, Open Cut casing, Open Tunnel casing, and Water Well casing. The picture above shows some of these 20' sections on our yard. The second includes custom fabricating Steel Pipe Pilings, such as Foundation piling, Bridge piling, and Marine piling, including pier pilings, dock pilings, and deep water pipe pilings to length.
We bevel cut, weld and coat casings and pilings to your specifications. Our standard cutting is to mechanical torch bevel cut to 30°, then perform full penetration circumferential welds. We offer options for mid-welds or no welds depending upon the length required. We have production capacity to process pipe up to + - 93 ft. in length. Options include welding and fabricating steel plate, shoes, and conical points. Lining and Coating options include bituminous coating, coal tar epoxy coating, and cement lining for the different types of applications.
Other structural pipe applications include: sign posts, roadway billboard signs, caissons, and tower construction such as in water towers. A third specialty niche, we manufacture pipe bollards. Usually 6 - 12" in diameter, cut to lengths so that about 3 - 4 feet or so will protrude above the ground, encased in concrete, and painted reflective yellow or some noticeable color as compared to the surrounding background scenery, bollards are normally used to protect a zone and to form a barrier from vehicle traffic. A bollard is a rigid post, usually arranged in a line or a closed-loop path to close parking lot traffic from entering the protected space, such as in surrounding gas pump islands, shielding storefront entranceways, and enclosing complete parking lots.

We have a large inventory of ASTM A252 Steel Pipe Casing, Grade 2, Grade 3, and "limited service pipe". Normal inventory includes pipe diameter sizes: 2", 3", 4", 6", 8", 10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 22", 24", 30", and 36". Also available in larger diameters to 110" with wall thicknesses ranging in thickness from .25" - 1" depending upon the pipe OD.
Our limited service pipe is "New and Unused steel pipe" as we have major pipe distributor status with many of the mills. We mill crop or mechanically torch cut and bevel ends to 30º bevel by bevel and bevel x square, weld adjoining pipes together, and produce large quantities of 20 foot dead length sections for stock. From these sections we custom fabricate pipe casings to your specifications. We produce and sell large quantities of custom steel casings for every use.
If you should have the need for open cut casing, we are able to fabricate and ship the exact footage you require per crossing. This reduces time and scrap loss for the contractor. Open cut casing is available in ASTM A252, Grade 2 or 3 along with limited service. Standard end treatment is 30º bevel.
Optional coating services are available from us for underground piping, including Bituminous Asphalt coating and coal tar epoxy coating.

When the pipe is delivered on-site to you, it's fabricated to length and coated to your requirements.

Reliant Pipes offers several types of steel pipe coating processes. The pipe for sale from our yard is sold as is, bare pipe, meaning, there's no coating, inside or outside. There are multiple options for coated pipe for every order. When you request a particular coated pipe, coated inside and/or coated outside, you have a choice of applications for pipe as large as 72"OD.

Bare steel pipe will eventually corrode, or rust. Since the total performance of a pipe coating system involves the three separate processes, application to the pipe, handling and storage of the pipe, and in-ground or above-ground service of the pipe; the functional requirements and the resistance to deterioration should be considered when establishing your criteria for the coating properties that we offer.
The principal uses for asphalt coatings include internal and external application to carbon steel pipe. Our bituminous asphalt coating has been tested to meet ANSI-A21.4 and AWWA C104 specifications for potable water, and has been found to be acceptable and is certified to NSF Standard 61. This coating is black in color. When applied correctly, this fast coating process provides the cathodic protection required for most underground structural steel pipe. This is the least expensive method we offer for pipe coating for cathodic protection, and we are able to provide reliable response times because this is the least complicated coating process that we offer. Primarily used for road bore casings and other casing pipes.
Typical applications include heavy-duty service conditions such as chemical plants, bridge piling structures, and pipelines. Excellent resistance to immersion in salt-water, above ground extreme temperature swings and abrasive wear and tear.

Reliant Pipes serves the water distribution market with water pipe conforming to ASTM A53, ASTM A139, and AWWA C200. Specialty linings and coatings are available, including cement lined AWWA C205, potable water epoxy lined AWWA C210, and various type O.D. coating systems.
Reliant Pipes will provide you with sewer pipe that has been lined and coated for sewer service. Typical applications of Coal tar epoxy are 20 to 40 mils dry film thickness on the inside diameter and 8 to 12 mils on the outside. Polyurethane applied according to the AWWA C222 lining and coating system is also available. Sewer pipe is available in ASTM A139, AWWA C200, ASTM A53, and also in limited service grade. We normally have 8" x .322" x 40'0" Epoxy lined and coated sewer pipe in stock at our facility.
