SA333 Gr 6, ASTM A333 Grade 6 Pipes is used in oil and gas, petroleum, water and air line applications. It is a carbon steel pipes that has structural applications in most cases. These pipes have the elemental composition of carbon 0.19%, manganese 0.31-0.64%, phosphorous 0.025%, sulfur 0.025%, silicon 0.18 – 0.37% and nickel 3.18 – 3.82% maximum. The composition allows the LTCS ASTM A333 Gr 6, ASTM A333 Gr 6 Carbon Steel to have diameters from ¼ inches through 30 inches and schedules from 10 through XXH. SA333 Gr 6 Material, SA333 Pipes are intended for low temperature applications.

And they can work at cryogenic temperatures as well. A333 Grade 6 Seamless Pipes could be machined properly. Welding operation is possible through conventional methods. Heat treatment is possible with normalized, quenched, quenched and tempered conditions. Hot working is also possible. With the application of conventional methods, cold working is also possible. Rapid heating and cooling is applied for annealing of these pipes. Aging is not applicable but hardening by heat treatment is possible. The A333 Pipes Material, ASTM A333 Gr 6 Killed Carbon Steel has deoxidized surface with eliminated porosity. It has a minimum tensile strength requirement of 60Ksi. The production of seamless pipes and welding of them do not require any additional filler materials. Various wall thicknesses are available depending on the schedules.
